CTA - Trademark Defense Fund - May 16, 2014 - Save the Patch
What is the CTA about?
A California federal case against the Mongols Motorcycle Club is attempting to challenge the First Amendment's free speech rights, the government's seizure powers and the ownership of a trademark.
What are the US Defenders saying?
The National US Defenders office is issuing a formal CTA to defend the Motorcycle Riding Community against attempts by the Government to seize Motorcycle Clubs 'Collective Membership Marks' (Colors) and destroy the Clubs identity by taking away their Branded Logos.
Why support this effort?
We are in the fight of our lives and are asking the entire Motorcycle Riding Community to stand up and assist us in speaking out against the elimination and erosion of our Constitutional rights and freedoms in order to leave a legacy of freedom for our children and grandchildren!
Today it's the Mongols Motorcycle Club patch; tomorrow it may be our own!
What can I do?
As you well know litigation is expensive. We are asking that all US Defenders, COIR, COC&I Members and Independents donate $5.00 to the trademark defense fund.
